Transport rules
and parcel value
At the branch we will pick a suitable service with you and tell you the price. The parcel, the delivery address and the recipient phone number are all we need. You do not have to tell us the contents. Just let us know if the shipment is oversized or worth more than CZK 10,000, so that we choose a matching service.
What is excluded from transport
The current Paramos rules exclude, for example, cash, valuables, documents, live animals and plants, perishable goods, dangerous substances, pressure vessels and car batteries. The restrictions also cover liquids, some tyres and improperly packed shipments. This is a short selection, not a complete list.
Dimensions and packaging
The General Terms and Conditions state a maximum of 30 kg, a length of 2 m, a height of 60 cm, a width of 80 cm and a total girth of 3 m. For parcels handed in at a ParcelShop they mention 10 kg and a length of 1 m. The parcel must be closed and undamaged, and the contents protected with suitable filling.
We send larger shipments as oversized ones. The transport price is then set individually according to the dimensions, the weight and the route. Bring the shipment to the branch or send us the dimensions in advance and we will prepare a price.
No packaging? You can buy boxes, filling and tape from us, and we will pack the parcel for you if you need.
Parcel value, insurance and liability
Discuss shipments worth more than CZK 10,000 with us before handover. We will choose a service with matching liability for damage, or additional insurance. Without agreeing this in advance a higher value cannot be claimed, and this is not a promise of automatic insurance or full compensation either.
We do not inspect the contents of your parcel and we do not need to know them. The sender is responsible for the shipment not containing items excluded from transport.
This overview is based on the General Terms and Conditions, which are published in Czech and are the binding version. It does not replace the conditions of the transport agreed; the restrictions of the destination country and the carrier apply as well.
What to sort out at the branch
- Bring the parcel and give us the delivery address.
- Tell us the recipient phone number, and ideally the e-mail too. Carriers use them to send delivery notifications.
- Have the price and the expected delivery date confirmed.
- Do you want to send cash on delivery? Tell us the amount and we will set it at handover.
- For a value above CZK 10,000 or oversized dimensions, agree a suitable service before you hand the parcel over.
- Keep the proof of handover and the shipment identifier.
